Choose how footage is stored
You can turn on one or both — local storage as your primary copy, cloud as backup, or the other way around.

For the best of both, enable local storage for day-to-day recording and cloud storage just for motion-triggered clips — it keeps subscription costs down while still backing up the moments that matter.
