Confirm your network

Make sure the phone you're setting up with is online, and that you know which Wi-Fi network the camera will join.

Open your phone's Wi-Fi settings and confirm it's connected to the network you want the camera on — not a guest network or a different band. Cellular data works for checking your account, but the pairing step itself needs Wi-Fi.

Most low-cost Wi-Fi cameras only support the 2.4GHz band, not 5GHz. If your router broadcasts both under the same name, look for a setting to split them, or temporarily disable 5GHz for setup.

Router is powered on and other devices can browse normally
Camera will be within a room or two of the router — distance affects setup reliability
You know the exact Wi-Fi name and password, including capitalization
